Do You Feel Unlovable? (part three)

WHEN YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR WHAT DO YOU SEE?
What is the inner dialogue that plays out in your head?

Self-doubt? Criticism? Self-loathing? Emptiness? Shame?

Don't you think it's time to change that?
YOU are worthy!
YOU are lovable!
And YOU have many admirable qualities that prove it.
I know that for a fact!
Do you?

I have a suggestion.
Go to a mirror right now,
Yes, right now
and look at your reflection.

You may be tempted to begin to pick yourself apart.
I know I would.
Resist that temptation.

Now, think of just one quality
that you admire about yourself.
Are you caring?
Compassionate?
Smart?
Thoughtful?
Resilient?
Think of something, anything and speak it out loud.

As you look at your reflection take a deep, cleansing breath and say,
"I am worthy. I am lovable. I am [smart]."
Or whatever your quality is.
Say it again.
"I am worthy. I am lovable. I am [smart]."

Now think of another admirable quality.
Take a deep cleansing breath and speak it out.
"I am worthy. I am lovable. I am [compassionate]."
"I am worthy. I am lovable. I am [compassionate]."

Do this everyday adding new qualities to your list
and look yourself in the eyes when you speak it.

At first, this exercise may make you very emotional.
It may feel uncomfortable, or awkward.
But you can do this.
Do it everyday.
Learn to speak those affirming words with a smile from your heart as you take your cleansing breath.

What admirable qualities did you come up with?

Remember,
YOU are worthy!
YOU are lovable!
YOU are loved!
